It is key for the three religions to have rules because it allows them to expand more. As a religion expands, as with everything, it gathers more and more followers. These followers need rules to live by or else chaos breaks out. Fighting occurs and stealing, and then what do you have? A big sloppy, violent religion that no body, even the followers, want to be apart of anymore. So they create rules, which the people follow because they believe it is what God wants and following them will lead to an eternal paradise.
The three religions have rules in order for them to maintain order with there followers. If none of the followers are obeying by the rules then your religion becomes a big mess.
You both haven't really explained in enough detail on why the Rules are KEY to religion. Or if you dont think they really are, then say so and explain why not. What about the person that doesn't believe in any religion or their rules? Are they out in the world killing people and causing chaos?
